Sellrod - Chlorpyrifos 50% EC

Sellrod is a broad-spectrum non-systemic insecticide containing Chlorpyrifos 50% EC, belonging to the Organophosphate group. Once applied, it works through contact, stomach, and vapor action — killing pests that touch treated surfaces, those that feed on treated plant tissue, and those present in the immediate crop environment through vapor release. Chlorpyrifos 50% EC insecticide is one of the most widely used and trusted insecticides in Indian agriculture — effective against sucking pests, chewing insects, borers, soil pests, and termites across Cotton, Paddy, and a wide range of field and vegetable crops.

Chlorpyrifos 50% EC Uses— What Does Sellrod Control?

Chlorpyrifos 50% EC Dosage — Crop Wise Recommended Dose:

Mix Sellrod in 200 liters of water per acre for foliar spray. Apply Chlorpyrifos 50% EC insecticide at the first sign of pest infestation for best results.

Note: Never exceed the recommended dose. 

How To Use Sellrod — Application Instructions:

1. Shake the Sellrod bottle well before measuring the required dose.

2. Half-fill the sprayer tank with clean water.

3. Add the required quantity of Sellrod and top up with the remaining clean water.

4. Stir well to form a uniform milky white emulsion.

5. Apply evenly, covering all plant surfaces, including upper and lower leaf surfaces and stems.

6. For soil pest and termite control, apply as a soil drench at the base of the plant.

7. Wash the sprayer thoroughly with clean water after every use.

Best Time to Apply:

Apply Chlorpyrifos 50% EC in the early morning or late evening when temperatures are cool, and wind speed is low — avoid spraying between 10 AM and 4 PM to protect bees and pollinators.

Frequency of Application & Re-Entry Period:

• Frequency of Application: Begin spraying at the first sign of pest activity. A second application may be given after 14 to 21 days if pest pressure continues. Limit to 2 to 3 applications per season.

• Re-Entry Period: Keep farm workers out of treated fields for a minimum of 24 hours after spraying without proper protective gear.

• Tank-mix Compatibility: Compatible with most commonly used fungicides and insecticides. Always run a jar test before combining two products. Avoid mixing with alkaline solutions.

Safety Precautions & Handling:

• Always wear gloves, safety goggles, and a nose mask before handling or measuring this product.

• Never eat, drink, or smoke while mixing or applying this product.

• Wash hands, face, and all exposed skin with soap and water immediately after use.

• Keep children, pets, and livestock away from treated areas for at least 24 hours.

• Toxic to bees — do not spray during flowering or when bees are actively foraging.

• Keep all spray away from ponds, rivers, canals, and all open water bodies.

• Triple rinse empty containers, puncture, and dispose of them responsibly as per local guidelines.

Storage Instructions:

• Store Chlorpyrifos 50% EC insecticide in the original sealed container in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight and heat.

• Never store near food items, animal feed, drinking water, or seeds.

• Keep completely out of reach of children and farm animals at all times.

• Storage Temperature: Below 35°C
