Quizaflo is a selective systemic herbicide containing Quizalofop Ethyl 10% EC, specifically designed to control narrow-leaf grassy weeds in broadleaf crops like Soybean, Cotton, Groundnut, Black Gram, and Onion. Once applied, Quizalofop Ethyl 10% EC gets absorbed through the weed leaves within 1 to 4 hours and moves through the entire weed plant, including the roots and underground rhizomes, ensuring complete kill with no regrowth. Visible symptoms appear within 5 to 8 days, and weeds are completely killed within 10 to 15 days. Quizalofop Ethyl 10% EC is a trusted and cost-effective post-emergence weed management solution for Kharif and Rabi season broadleaf crop farmers across India.
Selective Action: Quizalofop Ethyl 10% EC controls only narrow-leaf grassy weeds without harming broadleaf crops like Soybean, Cotton, Groundnut, and Onion.
Systemic Control: Absorbed through weed leaves and translocated all the way to the roots and rhizomes, ensuring complete kill with no regrowth.
Post-Emergence Use: Quizalofop Ethyl 10% EC can be applied after weeds have emerged from the soil, making it flexible for farmers.
Rainfast: Absorbed by weed leaves within 1 to 4 hours, remains effective even if rain falls shortly after application.
Annual Grassy Weeds: Echinochloa colonum (Sawak), Digitaria sanguinalis (Large Crabgrass), Eleusine indica (Goosegrass), Eragrostis spp.
Perennial Grassy Weeds: Cynodon dactylon (Doob grass), Saccharum spontaneum (Kans grass), Sorghum halepense (Johnson grass), Imperata cylindrica
Volunteer Crops as Weeds: Volunteer Paddy, Jowar, Pearl Millet, Maize growing as weeds in broadleaf crops
Important: Quizalofop Ethyl 10% EC is strictly NOT recommended on Paddy, Wheat, Sorghum, Maize, Barley, Pearl Millet, and Sugarcane crops — it will damage or kill these crops.
Mix Quizaflo in 150–200 litres of water per acre for foliar spray. Apply Quizalofop Ethyl 10% EC as a post-emergence spray when weeds are actively growing and have 2–4 leaves.
Crop | Target Weeds | Dose/Acre | Per 15L Pump | PHI (Pre-harvest Interval) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Soybean | Annual and Perennial Grassy Weeds | 150 to 180 ml | 11 to 14 ml | 95 days |
Cotton | Annual and Perennial Grassy Weeds | 180 ml | 14 ml | 94 days |
Groundnut | Annual and Perennial Grassy Weeds | 150 to 180 ml | 11 to 14 ml | 89 days |
Black Gram | Annual Grassy Weeds | 150 to 180 ml | 11 to 14 ml | 60 days |
Onion | Annual Grassy Weeds | 150 to 180 ml | 11 to 14 ml | 60 days |
Note: For perennial weeds like Doob grass and Kans grass, increase the dose to 250–300 ml per acre for complete kill.
Measure the required dose of Quizaflo as per the dosage table.
Fill the sprayer halfway with clean water.
Add the required quantity of Quizaflo and fill with the remaining water.
Use a flat fan or flood jet nozzle for uniform spray coverage on weed leaves.
Spray directly and evenly on actively growing weed foliage.
Do not spray on the main crop foliage — use a hood or shield if needed.
Rinse the sprayer with clean water after use.
Apply Quizalofop Ethyl 10% EC in the early morning or late evening when temperatures are cool, and wind speed is low. Apply at 15–25 days after sowing when weeds are at the 2–4 leaf stage for best absorption and fastest kill.
Frequency of Application: One well-timed spray at the 2–4 leaf weed stage is generally sufficient. For heavy perennial weed pressure, a second spray may be needed after 3–4 weeks.
Re-Entry Period: Do not enter treated areas for at least 24 hours after application.
Tank-mix Compatibility: Do not mix with broadleaf herbicides like 2,4-D or Imazethapyr in the same tank, as this reduces efficacy. Can be tank-mixed with foliar fertilisers. Always do a jar test before mixing.
Wear protective clothing, including gloves, goggles, and a mask, before handling.
Do not eat, drink, or smoke during application.
Wash all exposed skin with soap and water after use.
Keep children, pets, and livestock away from treated areas for 24 hours.
Keep the spray away from Paddy, Wheat, Maize, Sugarcane, and other grass crops.
Rinse empty containers three times, puncture, and dispose of them as per local waste guidelines.
Store in its original sealed container in a cool, dry, shaded place away from direct sunlight.
Keep away from food, animal feed, drinking water, and seeds.
Keep out of reach of children and farm animals at all times.
